Hi Cathy, I wanted to let you know...I did try putting thieves directly onto the furnace filter...I spread five drops over an 18X18 filter, and then ran the system for about two hours. It really refreshed the air in the entire house. I've used the filter dispersion twice now...the second time for only 30 minutes, and maybe three drops. It works great. I also put some drops of lemon oil on cotton balls at a different time and placed them in the registers. The oils dispersed well from there too.
Now, I'm trying another use for the thieves. Our fireproof safe has been discovered, most unfortunately, not to be mold proof. All of our important documents were damp and VERY musty smelling. I actually dried the documents in my dehydrator along with some thieves on a cotton ball. They are dry but will need further intensive treatment. I've ordered a diffuser from Young Living Oils and will fumigate them thoroughly by actually spreading them out in an unused room on furnace filters, so that air can circulate, and letting the diffuser run for hours. I have cleaned the safe with natural soap and thieves, and that smells great.
In the meantime, I discovered that I was allergic to the mold...sooooo I had to go and be treated with NAET for that. I'm fine now, but what a hassle. Anyway...I'm very pleased with the results.
I have discovered an interesting body response to thieves being dispersed in the air around me. By the end of the thirty minute dispersion time, my face feels very tingly...and almost like my skin has tightened when I smile. I thought at first that I might be allergic to the thieves, but my practitioner muscle tested that the thieves is actually pulling toxins out of my body, and that's the reaction I get.
I'm really looking forward to using the diffuser, not only for killing mold, but for happier purposes. Thanks so much for your help and encouragement, once again. I really appreciate it. Anne
